Privacy Policy - Wi-Fi Analyzer
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This policy describes Wi-Fi Analyzer 1.2.0 for iPhone and iPad and 1.0.1 for Mac. Available diagnostics and data handling differ by platform.
Who is responsible
Rivia Corp s.r.o. is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Contact support@riviacorp.com or write to Rivia Corp s.r.o., Nadační 260/35, 742 35 Odry, Czech Republic. VAT ID: CZ07861711.
Network information and permissions
The app reads available Wi-Fi identifiers and signal information, IP addresses, gateway and DNS settings, discovered local devices, and diagnostic results. Location permission allows the operating system to provide Wi-Fi identifiers. The Mac app discards geographic coordinates delivered to its location callback; it does not keep a location history. Local-network access supports device discovery and local tests. Denying these permissions restricts the related tools.
Diagnostic tools send traffic to local devices, the hosts you enter, DNS resolvers, and external services. Those destinations receive the query or test traffic and your connecting IP address. Domain names, hostnames, and IP addresses submitted to a lookup service are disclosed to that service.
External diagnostic services
- On iPhone and iPad, connectivity tests contact Apple and Cloudflare. DNS tools use Cloudflare and Google. WHOIS and RDAP lookups contact rdap.org and the registries it directs requests to. Speed tests download test data from Cloudflare-hosted storage, send generated upload-test data to Cloudflare, and test latency against Cloudflare.
- On Mac, DNS tools use Google and Cloudflare. Speed tests contact Linode servers. Connectivity tools contact Apple, Google, Cloudflare, and destinations you configure.
These providers handle requests under their own policies: Apple, Cloudflare, Google, and Akamai, including Linode. Speed-test uploads use generated test data rather than selecting personal files.
Local history, exports, and inspection on Mac
The Mac app keeps up to 500 diagnostic history events locally. These can contain network names and addresses, discovered devices and services, queried hosts, and test results. You can clear history in the app. CSV, JSON, and support-snapshot exports go to a file you choose; the app does not automatically upload these exports to support. A support snapshot can contain history, the computer’s hostname, Wi-Fi and hardware addresses, DNS and connection details, and system information. Review it before sharing.
The optional local network-inspection extension examines packet metadata such as addresses, ports, protocols, lengths, and traffic categories. It keeps up to 40 recent packet records in memory. This extension does not forward packets to a remote VPN service or upload packet payloads. Enabling this feature does not provide internet anonymity.
App activity and purchases
On iPhone and iPad, we collect app activity and diagnostic events through our own AppPlatform service, hosted on Railway. Events include screen visits, feature actions and outcomes, timestamps, session and event identifiers, app version, operating system, device model, and error identifiers. Events can be linked to an app-specific customer identifier and installation identifier. These identifiers do not require a named account, but they allow us to link activity from the same installation or customer.
The app stores its customer credentials in Keychain, which can preserve them across reinstalls on the same device. We also receive Apple Ads attribution information and verified App Store transaction information, including products, purchase and renewal status, and available purchase-device information. We use this to manage purchases, understand acquisition, diagnose faults, and improve the app. Apple processes payments; we do not receive your payment-card details.
Wi-Fi Analyzer activity events exclude network names, device names, addresses, entered hosts, and raw diagnostic responses. This does not prevent diagnostic requests from reaching the destinations described above. Free-action usage history and preferences are also stored locally.
Uploaded AppPlatform activity logs are currently retained indefinitely for long-term app analysis; they do not have an automatic expiry. Customer, installation, attribution, and purchase records also have no automatic expiry in that service. This is separate from deleting content inside the app. You can contact us to request deletion of personal data, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.
This Mac version does not register an AppPlatform customer or send first-party app activity logs, Apple Ads attribution, or client purchase uploads through that service. Mac purchases are handled through Apple StoreKit. Apple server notifications can separately provide subscription transaction information to our purchase service; those server purchase records have no automatic expiry there.
Support and the website
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments. The website contact form also requests your name and the app you need help with. Cloudflare hosts the website and provides Turnstile spam protection; Resend delivers form submissions to our support mailbox. These services process submitted information and technical request data such as your IP address. Do not send sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.
We use support information to answer your request and investigate the problem. Support correspondence may remain in our mailbox and service-provider records after the conversation ends. It has no automatic deletion deadline in the website application. Contact us about removal of records we control.
Purposes, international processing, and security
We process information to provide the diagnostics you request, administer purchases, and answer support requests under our contract with you. First-party diagnostics and acquisition measurement serve our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving the app. Legal obligations can require retention of some records.
Railway hosts our first-party logging and purchase service. The other recipients and destinations are described above. Providers may process data outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. See Railway’s privacy information and the provider policies linked above. Contact us for information about the arrangements applying to your data.
We use access controls and protected connections for our services. Some network tools intentionally contact destinations or protocols that are not encrypted. No storage or transmission method guarantees complete security.
Your choices and rights
You can manage system permissions in your device settings. Refusing a permission can prevent the related feature from working. Deleting the app does not cancel an Apple subscription, erase information already sent to service providers, or necessarily remove system backups or identifiers stored in Keychain.
Under applicable data protection law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a portable copy of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for processing that relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Contact us using the details above. We may need information to identify the relevant records and verify your request; we do not need your Apple Account password. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or establish or defend legal claims.
You can complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection or your local supervisory authority.
Children and changes
The app is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us.
We will post changes to this policy on this page and update its date. We will provide further notice or request consent when required for a material change in processing.
